Query: Query will find the location of items on the level. If you enter "List resources zone_103", it will show you a list of resources in zone_103. If you enter "List zone_103" on A1, it will show you a list of items in zone_103. It is really useful because you can do "List Key" or "List Resources" and it will show up that you searched for (For example: List Ammopack will show all ammopacks in the level). Lockers, Boxes, Doors, Keys, Resources, Terminal, and Mission Objectives will show. List: List will list everything in the level unless specified. There are 10 commands, however only 3 are necessary. It is the first thing you encounter in A1. The terminal is one of, if not the most useful tool in the game. The following is information from the GTFO wik Melee does NOT matter, and is purely cosmetic. Shotgun Sentries are great for putting in front of doors or beside doors so they clip and tear down enemies as they come through, diminishing the horde for your team), and mine deployers, which allows you to set down powerful trip mines. Shotgun/Burst sentries, which are sentries that shoot enemies (Burst Sentries are great for holding a long corridor and locking down wide open sections. ![]() Bio Tracker, which allows you to see sleeping enemies and mark enemies that are moving. However, when you fully charge it and shoot it at a closed door, it will freeze the door, and enemies will need to break through the cfoam in order to start breaking down the door. When cfoam is on the ground, it can freeze enemies when they walk over it. There is: Cfoam launcher, which launches a sticky substance. Tools depend on the mission, and what you think will be efficient. The primary and secondary guns depend on what you like - they all have pros and cons. You will have an option of 4 things: primary, secondary, tool, melee. However, you have a decision to make before dropping in. Your main instinct is probably to play solo. You just bought the game, so you probably want to start playing. Be sure to join their VC if they have one. Copy their lobby ID, and a red button will show on the left of your screen on the Rundown page. If you are joining someone elses game, leave your current match. If you put it in your message, someone random could join and you wont be able to kick them. This will copy the code to your clipboard, so that you can just paste it in DM's. When someone joins, give them the lobby code by pressing the red button. Your message should sound like this: "LF3 A1 (voice chat link)". Join a voice chat, and copy and paste the lobby ID, as well as an invite for the voice chat into a message. Go to the GTFO discord, and go to the LFG channel for the area you are in. On the right of the screen you will see a red button. Click A1 (or whatever level you're in), host lobby, and boom, you are in a solo match. When you load in, you will see the Rundown. Right now, levels D2 and E1 are locked behind warden restriction, where a certain amount of people will have to finish the previous levels before being able to do those two missions. Currently, there have been 2 rundowns released to the public: R1, and R2. ![]() Each set of levels is called a "Rundown". You can tell if a door has an alarm or needs a key by red text when you go up to the door. Some security doors are alarm doors, others are key doors that require you to find a key, others have no alarm, so you can freely open them. Each level has a set amount of zones, with a set amount of areas inside of them. There are four resources you can use: ammo packs (which refills some of your ammo), med packs (which refill your health by 20 percent), tool refill (refills some of your tool ammo), and disinfection packs (which reduces your infection by 20 percent). The game is (as steam says) a hardcore 4-player game, although it could be solo'd. The objective of each rundown is probably to just explore for the warden - the missions in R1A1 (Rundown 1 A1) was to try and explore and get as deep as you could, before another entrance/exit was detected, which leads us to R2. It keeps us in check, as well as essentially keeps us hostage, as we are stored in HSU's - Hydro Stasis Units. We are being controlled by the Warden, who is most likely an AI. Bishop seemingly worked/works for Santonian Industries, which are strategic investors who invested in the operation, as well as "Garganta", a location we most likely havent seen yet. ![]() It is a mine, called the "chicxulub operation". The complex takes place in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. GTFO takes place sometime from 2020-2099.
